If you have problems with X-Lite or just as an alternative program you could also use Zoiper:

By using a softphone you can make phone calls even if you do not have a landline or mobile phone available. You can use your computer instead.

Just download the software of Zoiper and make calls with your headset

1. Download the Zoiper IAX & SIP Softphone for free and install it on you computer.

2. Start Zoiper.

3. Klick on "Options" (->tool) and then on "Add New IAX Account"

4. Insert data in the fields. You can find the data in your login area when you click "Access by SIP" on the menu bar.

- Server Hostname/IP: "iax.dcalling.de"

- Username: Your DCalling SIP-Username

- Password: Your DCalling SIP-Password

- Caller ID Name: Your name (may be shown to the opposite site)

- Caller ID Number: Your number (may be shown to the opposite site)

5. After opening Zoiper, you may be able to choose the account you would like to use (e.g. IAX or SIP).

Just type in a number and start making calls!

Note:

After your registration at DCalling it may take up to 24 hours until you can use DCalling with Zoiper.
