In case you have a phone with mobile Internet, such as a smartphone (iPhone, Blackberry, etc.), you can make phone calls via DCalling through mobile web. DCalling offers solutions for Symbian phones (e.g. Nokia) and iPhones.
Symbian
1. Use our App to call phone numbers directly from your telephone book
DCalling Symbian App (for phones with 3rd Edition FP 1/3rd Edition FP 2/Symbian 5th Edition)
The DCalling Symbian App is the easy way for making cheap international phone calls with your smartphone. No need for using the dial-in number anymore, just enter the number you wish to call or select it from your saved numbers in your phone, and your call will be connected via DCalling directly.
- Install App
Please go to the DCalling website with your smartphone. If you use Windows, you can also download the app on your computer. Just connect your smartphone with your computer and install the app with the Nokia Ovi Suite.
To install the app directly on your smartphone you need the qt installer. In case it is not already available on your smartphone, you can download the qt installer by taking a picture of the mobile barcode with you mobile or clicking the barcode.

Choose how you would like to use DCalling.
-Callthrough: call via a local dial-in number
-Callthrough Freephone: call via a local toll-free dial-In number
-SMS Callback (for countries without a DCalling dial-In number): You can just enter the number you wish to call on your cell phone. Afterwards you will receive right away a callback to your cellphone that connects you the number you wish to call.
-Callback (for countries without a DCalling dial-in number):
Enter the number you wish to call and hang up. You will be connected to the number you have dialed immediately.
-Standard Call: Your call is processed through your normal phone provider and not through DCalling.
You only need to adjust this setting after installing the app, or if you have changed your current location (country). Please note: to avoid roaming charges, you always have to use DCalling with a local SIM-Card.
Further Advice:
Callthrough: If you cannot connect to a dial-in number you can request a new one directly. Just go to “Update Dial-In”.
Card number: If you have not saved your phone number in your account > phone numbers, you can also transmit your card number every time before you make a call. Just go to Settings > Send Card Number
* If you use a S60 3rd Edition cellphone, the warning “This packet is not compatible with you phone” might show up. You can just neglect it.

Use the SIP Client to Make Cheap Phone Calls with Your Cell Phone
Please choose the following settings:
- Set up a new SIP profile and name it “DCalling”. You can usually set up SIP profiles at Settings > Connection > SIP Settings > New SIP Profile.
- Enter the following settings:

*You can find your SIP user name and SIP password in your DCalling account. Log in on www.dcalling.com and go to Telephone > VoIP Accounts SIP/IAX.
iPhone
1.Card Caller App for DCalling.
We recommend the application “Card Caller 3.2” for using DCalling with your iPhone.
Get Card Caller iPhone app
To make the Card Caller work with your iPhone and DCalling, it requires only a few easy steps after you have downloaded the application from the App Store:
- Click on “Card Manager” and “Add a new Card”
- Then press “Name” and enter “DCalling”
- Enter your dial-in number by selecting “Number” (You can find your DCalling dial-in number in your DCalling login area)
- Select “Replace Prefix” and enter “00” to complete the configuration
Please do always enter a dial-in number for the country you are located when using Card Caller. If you are for example located in Germany, please choose a German dial-in number. To choose your location, log in and select your country from the upper right of the page.
Now you only need to select “Keypad” or “Contacts” to make cheap phone calls worldwide.
Note: Please make sure that the number you would like to use for DCalling is registered in your login area at Telephone > Phone numbers.
2. How to Use Your iPhone with DCalling via Mobile Web
Acrobits App for DCalling
We recommend our customers to use the iPhone Acrobits app. Acrobits is a user-friendly VoIP/SIP client, which enables you to make phone calls with your iPhone via mobile web.
Get Acrobits iPhone app
- To make DCalling your VoIP provider for the Acrobits app, please open the Acrobits settings at the top of the menu bar.
- Press the "SIP Accounts" button.
- Press the "+" button at the right corner of the top menu bar.
- Now you can automatically set up your SIP account. Just select "DCalling" from the provider list.
- You will be asked for your SIP/IAX user name and your SIP/IAX password. This data can be found after logging in on DCalling at: Telephone > VoIP Accounts SIP/IAX.
- Once you have entered the data, press the "Done" button.
To make a call via DCalling, just select the Acrobits app. You can enter the number manually or select it from your saved numbers.
Sipdroid is the App for your Android phone
Sipdroid is a user-friendly and free app for making VoIP/SIP calls with your Android phone. You can use the Sipdroid app for making cheap international calls with DCalling from WLAN hot spots. Just download Sipdroid for free here.
- Open menu bar > “Settings
- Press “SIP Account Settings”
- For “Username” and “Password”, just enter your DCalling SIP data. You can find this data after logging in on DCalling at Mobile > VoIP Accounts.
- Enter “sip.dcalling.de” at the category “Server or Proxy”.
After the successful configuration you will see a green button at the top bar of your display, and you can start making cheap international calls with DCalling.
Cheap Phone Calls with Fring (Android, iPhone, Nokia, Windows Mobil and more)
Another option for making cheap international phone calls with DCalling via mobile Internet is Fring. Just like SIP, Fring is a tool that enables you to make cheap phone calls via Internet (VoIP), i.e. from Wi-Fi Hotspots and mobile Internet.
Our automatic Fring Setup enables your phone to use Fring for DCalling on your smartphone – easy, fast, and with just one click. Log in on DCalling and go to Telephone > Fring. Enter your country, your cell phone number and your email address. You will be sent an SMS with a little installation file for DCalling.
You can also install Fring manually. Just follow the instructions below.
- Install Fring on your cell phone. You can find a manual on www.fring.com.
- After the installation is completed, go to the Fring homepage and select “Account”. You confirm your selection with the “right” navigation key of your cell phone. Choose “SIP” for your account.
- Choose “Other” from the SIP entry list and enter the following data:
User ID: SIP user name from your DCalling account*
Password: SIP password from your DCalling account*
Proxy address: sip.dcalling.de
Now you can choose your contacts from the Fring contact list: go to Options > Call > SIP Call. Please note that the Fring contact list is not your phone's telephone book. However, all contacts from your phone will automatically be saved in the Fring contact list.
