DCalling for Your IP Phone

You can make cheap international phone calls with DCalling using any IP phone or smartphone (e.g. from Wi-Fi Hotspots). Just follow the steps below or take a look at our solutions for smartphones.

When signing up for DCalling, you are automatically assigned a free personal SIP/IAX account. Why this could be useful? You can use your SIP/IAX user name and password for any IP phone or virtual phone. Just enter your SIP/IAX data into the requested fields.

To give an example, this is how you set up SIP for your cell phone:

1. In most cases, you can add a new SIP profile at Settings > Connection > SIP Settings > New SIP Profile. You call this profile "DCalling".
2. Enter the following settings:
   Profile name: DCalling
   Service profile: IETF
   Default access point: none (or user defined)
   Public user name: sip:username@sip.dcalling.de*
   Use compression: no
   Registration: always on
   Use security: no
3. Proxy server:
   Proxy server address: sip:sip.dcalling.de
   Realm: sip.dcalling.de
   User name: SIP user name*
   Password: SIP password*
   Transport type: UDP
   Port: 5060
4. Registrar server:
   Registrar server address: sip:sip.dcalling.de
   Realm: sip.dcalling.de
   User name: SIP user name*
   Password: SIP password*
   Transport type: UDP
   Port: 5060

* You can find your SIP user name and password when you log in on your DCalling Account (Online > VoIP Accounts SIP/IAX).
